Getting to know the equipment:

Practicing putting on the skis and walking with them on flat ground.

Balance games:

Doing fun animal imitation games (such as "bear walks" or "bunny hops" with skis on).

First glides

Trying out short and safe glides on a gentle slope with the instructor's assistance.

Lift practice: Getting safely introduced to the kids' area magic carpet lift/ rope lift with the instructor.

Tips for a successful start – how to prepare for the lesson with your toddler

The new ski world, unfamiliar equipment, and the hustle and bustle can be intimidating for a little ski schooler at first. To ensure that the very first Ekarinne lesson goes as smoothly and joyfully as possible, it is a good idea to prepare your toddler for what to expect well in advance at home. When many things encountered on the slopes are already familiar to the child, it is much easier for them to learn new things and enjoy playing in the snow.

Here are a few tips on what to do before the lesson starts

Try on the equipment before the lesson: Try ski boots and helmets well before the rush.

Visit the slope beforehand: Visit the activity area and the magic carpet lift the day before or well before the lesson starts.

Talk about the lesson in advance: Tell your child what will happen on the slope. You can describe the ski instructor as a nice snow buddy who teaches fun things.

Equipment: Warm clothing according to the weather. Own or rental skis and a helmet. You can rent equipment here.
