Welcome to the Ylläs South side Ski School online store!

If you would like to book your lesson for today, tomorrow, or the day after, please contact us by email at south@yllasskiresort.fi or by phone at +358 16 510 3500.

How to proceed

1. Choose first the course that suits you best – either a private lesson or a group lesson. Please book a private lesson exclusively for children under 4 years old.
2. Select the date and time from the calendar.
3. Once you've completed the payment, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

When making your purchase, please choose whether you'd like your lesson with skis or a snowboard, what is your skill level and teaching language. 

GOOD TO KNOW:
If an adult joins a ski school lesson with a child, they must accept that the instructor will always focus more on the children. Separate lessons are recommended to ensure the best learning experience for everyone.

Arriving
- Arrive in good time. Atleast 30 min before if hire equipment is needed.
- All participants have to have same equipment's

Clothing
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory in all ski school lessons.
- Weather can change quickly in Ylläs, dress warmly and according to the weather.

Ticket
- A lift ticket is required during the class.
- You can buy ticket online or from ticket offices.

Cancellation Policy

- Fully refundable up to 14 days before the course starts.
- Less than 14 days: 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
- Less than 24 hours: no refund.

- If the minimum number of participants for the course (2) is not reached, the course will be cancelled.If the course is canceled by ski school you will be reached the day before by ski school info.

Looking to spend the ultimate quality time on your holiday, learn something new, and create unforgettable winter memories?

Our 90-minute Family Taster Lesson is the perfect way to explore the slopes as a family in a supportive, low-pressure setting. We've put together a complete package including instruction and full ski equipment, so you can easily try a new activity and create fresh family experiences.

With help from our friendly instructors, both kids and adults will learn the basics and start building confidence — all while enjoying a fun and memorable family adventure.

No previous experience is needed — just dress warmly and come enjoy the slopes as a family!

We highly recommend a minimum age of 4 for children. Please note that we offer a separate ski school for children under 4.

Practical Information

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY


Arrive on time:

Please arrive at the resort well in advance to ensure a stress-free start to your lesson.

Pick up your gear:

When you arrive, head straight to our Ski School Information Desk to collect your equipment rental voucher. Once you log into the rental system, staff will help fit the right gear for your entire family.

Meeting point:

The designated meeting point for the ski school is at the Kids' Area, where your instructor will be waiting to welcome you.


Family Packages & Group Options

Choose the perfect all-inclusive package for your family size. Each package includes 90 minutes of private instruction and complete equipment rental (skis, boots, poles, and helmets) for everyone:

Family of 3 Package: Includes 2 adult equipment packages and 1 junior ski package(age 4-11 year).

Family of 4 Package: Includes 2 adult equipment packages and 2 junior´s ski packages(age 4-11 year).

Family of 5 Package: Includes 2 adult equipment packages and 3 junior´s ski packages(age 4-11 year).

Clothes

Helmets are mandatory:

For safety reasons, wearing a helmet is mandatory for all participants during ski school lessons.

Dress for the weather:

Arctic weather in Ylläs can change rapidly. Please dress in warm layers and according to the daily weather conditions to stay comfortable throughout the lesson.


Ticket

Add ski passes to your cart:

Please remember to add your ski passes to your shopping cart at the same time as booking. Everyone over 6 years old requires a ticket to enter the children's area. You can purchase your tickets directly here.

Select the correct ticket type:

Since the Family Taster Lessons are held exclusively in the Ylläs Kids' Area, you only need to buy tickets for the Kids' Area.

Price: 14 € / person

Keycard: +8 € (required unless you already have a reusable keycard).
