Welcome to the Ylläs South side Ski School online store!

If you would like to book your lesson for today, tomorrow, or the day after, please contact us by email at south@yllasskiresort.fi or by phone at +358 16 510 3500.

How to proceed

1. Choose first the course that suits you best – either a private lesson or a group lesson. Please book a private lesson exclusively for children under 4 years old.
2. Select the date and time from the calendar.
3. Once you've completed the payment, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

When making your purchase, please choose whether you'd like your lesson with skis or a snowboard, what is your skill level and teaching language. 

GOOD TO KNOW:
If an adult joins a ski school lesson with a child, they must accept that the instructor will always focus more on the children. Separate lessons are recommended to ensure the best learning experience for everyone.

Arriving
- Arrive in good time. Atleast 30 min before if hire equipment is needed.
- All participants have to have same equipment's

Clothing
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory in all ski school lessons.
- Weather can change quickly in Ylläs, dress warmly and according to the weather.

Ticket
- A lift ticket is required during the class.
- You can buy ticket online or from ticket offices.

Cancellation Policy

- Fully refundable up to 14 days before the course starts.
- Less than 14 days: 50% of the paid amount will be refunded.
- Less than 24 hours: no refund.

- If the minimum number of participants for the course (2) is not reached, the course will be cancelled.If the course is canceled by ski school you will be reached the day before by ski school info.

Description

Snowspeed is three days course and this course is designed for children who already have basic skiing skills and are ready to move on to more challenging slopes — always with safety as a top priority.

Participants should be able to make turns, brake, and stop by using the snowplow (pizza) technique on blue slopes, and confidently use at least a magic carpet and a button lift.

During the course, we’ll build on existing skills and start practicing how to move beyond the snowplow in easy terrain. It’s the perfect next step for young skiers looking to gain more independence and control on the slopes!

The course runs on consecutive days at the same time. You’ll find the start date in the booking calendar.

Please book your place at least two days before the course begins.

Practical Information

Before Your Ski School Lesson

We can't wait to see you on the slopes! To ensure your lesson starts smoothly and you get the most out of your time with your instructor, please read the information below.


Meeting Point

- Please arrive on time.

- Your instructor will meet you in front of the Vekkuli carpet lift.

- Look for your instructor a few minutes before the lesson begins so you can start skiing right away.


Equipment

- If you need rental equipment, please arrive at the rental shop at least 30 minutes before your lesson.

- All participants should use the same type of equipment during the lesson.

- You can rent your equipment advan here.


Clothing

- A helmet is mandatory for all ski school participants.

- Weather conditions in Ylläs can change quickly, so we recommend dressing warmly and in layers.

- Warm gloves, weather-appropriate outerwear and ski goggles will help make your experience more comfortable.

Lift Tickets

- Please purchase your lift ticket before the lesson starts.

- Children under 6 years of age ski without a lift ticket.

- Lift tickets can be purchased online or from the ticket office located on the ground floor of the Taiga building.


Flexible Cancellation Policy

- Cancel up to 14 days before the lesson and receive a full refund.

- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the lesson are eligible for a 50% refund.

- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson are non-refundable.
