Ski school

Welcome to the Ylläsjärvi Ski School online store!

Choose the course that suits you best – either a private lesson or a group lesson. After that, you can select the date and time from the calendar. Once you've completed the payment, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

When making your purchase, please also choose whether you'd like your lesson with skis or a snowboard.

GOOD TO KNOW:

Arriving

Arrive in good time. Atleast 30 min before if hire equipment is needed. 

All participants have to have same equipment's

Clothing

Wearing a helmet is mandatory in all ski school lessons.

Weather can change quickly in Ylläs, dress warmly and according to the weather.

Ticket

A lift ticket is required during the class.

You can buy ticket online or from ticket offices.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the lesson starts.

If no cancellation is made, the ski school reserves the right to charge the full course/lesson fee.

SKILL LEVEL

What is your skill level? The ski school's skill levels allow you to determine your skill level and book a course or private lesson that is right for you.

GREEN

Total beginner, no previous skiing experience.

BLUE

I can do “pizza” and control my speed. I can ski down gentle blue-level slopes using snow plough (pizza) turns and stop in a controlled style, and I am able to use a ski lift.

RED

I can parallel ski in a controlled manner, but on steeper slopes I might feel insecure.

I would like to have more confidence, balance and skills for my skiing.

BLACK

I can ski smoothly on all types of slopes in a controllable style and with good speed. I might want to learn more about carving techniques, or a more dynamic and sporty way of skiing on a wider variety of slopes and snow conditions.

Description

The course trains you on more challenging slopes without forgetting safety. Participants must already know how to turn, brake and stop using snowplow (pizza) on blue slopes and be able to use at least a magic carpet and a button lift.

The course strengthen previous skills and trains you on how to get off the snow plow in easy conditions.

The course is held on consecutive days at the same time. You can see the start date in the online store's booking calendar.

Buy lesson at least 2 days earlier.

READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE ARRIVING

Arriving

Arrive in good time.

Before lesson get a vest on Info desk ground floor of Taiga.

Meeting point is in Vekkuli lift(tube lift)

Equipment

Be at the rental office at least 30 minutes before the start of the class to receive the equipment.
